MUSIC AT WOLF TRAP

Ollie made a trip to Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Virginia with our development director, Katrina Haas.
They saw a concert at the world-class Filene Center, which seats 7,000 people.
As always, Ollie made friends with many volunteers and park rangers.
OLLIE TRAVELS WITH THE STOEHRS

Ollie visited six national parks with Jacob and Jeremiah Stoehr in August.
Ollie visited Acadia National Park in Maine for the first time.
They went south to New York to visit Saratoga National Historical Park.
Ollie continued on to Massachusetts, where he stopped at Minute Man National Historical Park.
He also visited Lowell National Historical Park, where he and Jeremiah were sworn in as Junior Rangers!

OLLIE VISITS THE NATIONAL MALL

Jocelyn, age 10, took Ollie on a trip to Fort Necessity and the National Mall this month. Their first stop was at Fort Necessity National Battlefield in Pennsylvania.
While they were there, they visited Mount Washington Tavern, which was built in the 1830s.
Jocelyn and her family took Ollie to Washington D.C. to visit the National Mall. They visited the Washington Monument and Reflecting Pool.
They visited the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial...
As well as the Abraham Lincoln Memorial.
Jocelyn even took Ollie to see the White House.
But Ollie's favorite stop was at the National Zoo, where he saw... otters!
Jocelyn and Ollie also visited the World War II Memorial, the Vietnam War Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, The Washington Historic Waterfront, the John Paul Jones, Memorial, West Potomac Park, Ford's Theater, the Jefferson Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and the JFK Hockey Fields. OLLIE GOES NORTH - WAY NORTH

Ollie made his very first trip to Alaska! Katy and Jim took Ollie to Denali National Park and Preserve.
Katy's cousin Anne and her husband Greg came along too.
Ollie loved all the stunning scenery.
OLLIE THE OTTER GOES WEST WITH KAREN + JAN

Ollie traveled to three new national parks and a national monument this June with Karen Walsh and her sister Jan Kray. They visited Dinosaur National Monument together.
They also traveled to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
Karen and Jan took Ollie to Glacier National Park in Montana.
Ollie made his first trip to Yellowstone National Park.
He made friends with Ranger Daniel Shook, seen here with Jan Kray.
He even got to see Old Faithful, the famous geyser.

TRAVELS WITH MAGNOLIA

Magnolia Myers, age 7, took Ollie on her family trip to Kentucky this month. They visited Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park - Ollie's second trip there.
Magnolia also took Ollie back to Mammoth Cave National Park.
EAST COAST ROAD TRIP WITH THE JORGENSONS
June 23, 2014
Ollie just returned from a road trip to the east coast with the Jorgenson family. They visited three National Park sites on their trip.
They visited the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania, which was constructed in memory of the passengers and crew who lost their lives when Flight 93 crashed on September 11, 2001.
Their next stop was Gettysburg National Military Park, where Ollie took a tour with a licensed battlefield guide.
They also visited Salem Maritime National Historic Site, where they took Ollie on a tour of the Friendship of Salem cargo ship.
What a great trip to the east coast! Many thanks to the Jorgenson family for taking Ollie with you!
TRAVELS WITH GERRY & ANN

Ollie went on a long road trip with volunteers Gerry and Ann Findlan and their dog, Ivory. They visited thirteen National Park Service sites!
Ollie enjoyed a ride along the beautiful Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
Gerry and Ann took Ollie on his first visit to Congaree National Park in South Carolina.
Ollie saw a few lighthouses at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina.
They also visited Blue Ridge Parkway, Petersburg National Battlefield Park, Richmond National Battlefield Park, Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site, Wright Brothers National Memorial, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, Moores Creek National Battlefield, 96 National Historic Site, and Fort Sumter National Monument.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

Ollie traveled all the way to Colorado with Linda Williams, our administrative assistant, to visit Rocky Mountain National Park.

Ollie traveled to New York with the Mercer Area Girl Scouts from Mercer, PA. His first stop was the Statue of Liberty.
He also visited the Ellis Island Migration Museum.
He even made friends with a park ranger - and got a Junior Ranger badge!
JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK + MOJAVE NATIONAL PRESERVE

Ollie went to California for a week with Patricia Clark, our reservations coordinator. Their first stop was Joshua Tree National Park.
As always, Ollie made friends with the friendly park rangers he met at the visitor center.
Ollie and Patricia also made a stop at Mojave National Preserve.
MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK + BIRTHPLACE OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN

Ollie made a trip to Kentucky with Ranger Karen Kopchak and her family. They visited Mammoth Cave National Park.
They also made a stop at the birthplace of President Abraham Lincoln.
SAGUARO NATIONAL PARK
Ollie's very first trip was with his creator, Jenny Campbell. Jenny brought Ollie to Saguaro National Park where he saw cactuses, lizards, and eagles.
