Heritage Series Concert: The Pines
Friday, April 26th 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
at Happy Days Lodge
Indie-roots band, The Pines, weaves together musical styles to create a unique sound that is hip and haunting. Benson Ramsey was reared on folk and blues music and those influences continue to shine through. David Huckfelt shares Benson's deep love for traditional music, and together the two craft songs that evoke the ancient, while incorporating new rock and pop grooves. Strong writers, singers, and instrumentalists, David and Benson complement each other, causing audiences and critics alike to tout them as a powerful young force in American roots music. Drawing comparisons to Indie band Bon Iver, Rolling Stone calls the Pines "quietly gripping."
