Join us for a weekend of fun!  Junior Girl Scouts are invited to spend the weekend at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center to complete requirements for the Geocacher and Animal Habitats badges.  The event takes place from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.

For the Geocacher badge, scouts will learn the fundamental principles of navigation while using compasses and GPS units. Participants will be challenged to find their way around the EEC campus.

Scouts will also explore the various habitats and animals found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park in order to earn their Animal Habitats badge. Participants will be able to investigate how animals survive in the world around us and ways in which we can work together to help protect the survival of animals.

Evening events will include a staff-led night hike and a campfire, complete with songs and stories.  Throughout the weekend, scouts will be challenged to investigate roles women can play in the world as they explore requirements from the Amuse Journey.

Fee:  $95/scout and $50/adult chaperone.  (Recommended for Junior Scouts.  Troops must meet the adult to scout ratio as defined in the Girl Scout Handbook.)

Fees include all programming, supplies, lodging, and meals from evening snack on Friday through lunch on Sunday.  Actual badges are not provided.
