National Park Service Seeks Volunteer Videographers
The National Park Service is seeking volunteers to capture and edit video footage taken in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP). Volunteers are needed for a variety of videos, including general nature footage throughout CVNP and various events that take place in CVNP during the year. Editing footage is not required, but is helpful.
CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY AT CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park will host Pancakes in the Park, an event exclusively featuring locally-sourced products on Mother’s Day. Pancakes in the Park will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13 at the historic Stanford House. Patrons will also have the opportunity to take naturalist lead hikes on the Stanford Trail, and tour the recently renovated Stanford House. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children age 12 and under.
Trail Mix Store In Cuyahoga Valley National Park Re-Opens For Season
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park has announced that retail store Trail Mix will re-open for the season on Friday, April 20. Trail Mix carries ice cream, sandwiches, and baked goods from local producers as well as a variety of snacks and beverages. It also carries a selection of Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) souvenirs, books, and apparel.
MUSIC BY NATURE ANNOUNCES SUMMER SCHEDULE FOR CVNP CONCERT SERIES
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park has announced the summer schedule for Music by Nature. The series will kick-off on Sunday, June 10 by Bonita Boyd and Nicholas Goluses of the prestigious Eastman School of Music. Music by Nature will also feature Sounds of Sousa Band on July 8 and Solaris Wind Quartet on August 5.
ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK ENTERS SECOND YEAR
The Conservancy for CVNP and National Park Service will be hosting an event to give college students an opportunity to learn about and give back to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The second annual Alternative Spring Break is set for Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18. Last year, the inaugural Alternative Spring Break hosted 39 college students from eight universities throughout Ohio and New York.
CUYAHOGA VALLEY PHOTO SOCIETY DISPLAYS BEST IMAGES OF TOWPATH TRAIL
he Cuyahoga Valley Photo Society (CVPS) embarked on a year-long endeavor to document life on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail through the lens of a photographer.The project has produced a visual record of the Towpath Trail that displays the seasonal diversity experienced throughout Northeast Ohio.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park have one of the largest volunteer groups in the National Park Service, with more than 4,100 individuals. It’s not only individual park supporters that help their national park, but corporations as well. Fairmount Minerals, a global company headquartered in Chardon, Ohio, gave back in an enormous way.

Ohio Division of Wildlife to Offer Camp in Cuyahoga Valley National Park
The Ohio Division of Wildlife and Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association are joining forces to offer children a new and truly unique summer camp experience “The Wild Ohio Animal Adventure” is a six-day residential summer camp and will take place at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center from July 15-20.
