Peninsula - Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association is pleased to announce the opening of the photographic exhibit “The Other Side of the World” which will display works by Brad Rose. The show opens on July 13, 2009 and runs through August 16, 2009 at the John F. Seiberling Gallery located in the administrative offices at 1403 W. Hines Hill Road Peninsula, OH. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. and weekends upon request.
Brad Rose was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout his childhood camping trips, with his family, he had always been interested in drawing and photographing the natural world. While attending Hawken School, in Gates Mills, Brad honed in on his interest in the arts as well as in nature.
His interest never ceased as he states: “I attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where I studied drawing and majored in traditional, hand-drawn animation. After graduating from SVA, I moved to Tasmania, Australia, where I spent all of 2008 teaching at a school in Hobart. While there I took several trips to various places around the island, and always took my camera with me. In September I took a 2 week trip to New Zealand's South Island, and then in December I returned to Cleveland at the end of the school year”.
