Celebrate the beauty of your National Park! Meet Tom Jones and Jim Roetzel, local artists.

12/8/2010

Peninsula, OH - Meet one of this area's premier photographers, Tom Jones who has created and released a DVD entitled Cuyahoga Valley In Concert, which features over 800 stunning photos of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. In this performance, Tom has digitally recorded the sounds of nature and wildlife in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and blended them with inspiring music in order to provide a lush background for the presentation's images. This combination of both photography and music will transform the beauty and serenity of Cuyahoga Valley National Park into a grand ensemble, like a 33,000 acre orchestra in concert.

Join us on Saturday, December 18th for an afternoon with Tom Jones as we celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Find out how his passion for our national park inspired this work. Tom will be signing his DVD, posters, prints, and cards from 1-3 p.m. at Park Place in Peninsula, located at 1593 Main Street in downtown Peninsula..

On Sunday, December 19, join us as we continue our celebration and welcome photographer Jim Roetzel. For the past 25 years, Jim Roetzel has captured birds and wildlife with his camera, following nature's rhythms, migrations and seasons. An Ohio native and long time visitor to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, his love for the creatures that make their home in the wild is exquisitely captured in his photography.

We invite you to get behind Jim's camera and see Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the natural world at large through his lens. Jim will be signing his book, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, A Photographic Portrait co-authored with Ian Adams, prints and note cards from 1-3 p.m. at Park Place in Peninsula, 1593 Main Street in downtown Peninsula.

Park Place in Peninsula is a gift store and welcome center located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park in downtown Peninsula.
