Celebrate the Blue Heron in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Peninsula, Ohio- Join Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association, Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Old Trail School on Saturday, March 1, 2008 for the first Blue Heron Day Celebration: Breakfast with the Birds. The event will highlight the important mission we have to protect and preserve Cuyahoga Valley National Park while educating future generations about the Blue Heron, and environmental and habitat protection.

The Blue Heron Day Celebration runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Trail School located at 2315 Ira Rd. in Bath.

Blue Heron Day begins with a pancake breakfast served until noon. There will also be various stations featuring stories and crafts guests can visit to learn about herons and their habitat as well as a raffle. They can also visit the Bath Road Heronry by hiking or taking a complimentary shuttle.
