CVNPA Winter Fun Run Saturday, January 23, 2010

Peninsula, OH- Join Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association Saturday January 23rd at 9 am at Kendall Lake Shelter for the Winter Fun Run in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This free non-competitive run will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The format will be flexible, and depending on weather conditions participants will have the choice to run, snowshoe, or cross country ski on routes varying from 3 to 6 miles. Kendall Lake Shelter is located at 1000 Truxell Road, Peninsula OH.

Kendall Lake Winter Sports Center will be available for snowshoe and ski rental, there must be at least 4 inches of snow for snowshoe rental and 6 inches of snow for cross country ski rental. Snowshoe rental will be available for $5 a day, and ski rental will be available for $15 a day or $7.50 for 3 hours.

This is the first run of the CVNPA Fun Run Series leading up to the exciting 2010 Fall Running Series that occurs every Tuesday during the month of October. The following runs have been scheduled to give runners the chance to experience the park throughout the year.

Pine Hollow, Quick Road
