Peninsula, OH- Looking for a gift this holiday season that truly keeps on giving? Join Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association (CVNPA) online November 20, 2009 for the fifth annual CVNPA Bids for Kids Online Auction. Online, you will be able to purchase that unique holiday gift while supporting environmental education. All proceeds of Bids for Kids will go to benefit urban school children through our scholarship and educational programs at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC).
The CVNPA Bids for Kids Online Auction begins Friday, November 20, 2009 at 9 a.m. and continues through Monday, December 7, 2009 at 8 p.m.
Each year, over 9,000 children from over 40 school districts, from Northeast Ohio, visit the park to learn about the environment through hands-on experiences. With scholarship assistance of over $120,000 we are able to provide over 800 children with a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend a week in their national park. You can make a difference in the lives of our youth and connect kids with nature by getting involved:
• Donate an item
• Ask local businesses to donate items
• Become an auction sponsor
• Bid high and bid often.
Without the generous support of our local sponsors CVNPA Bids for Kids would not be possible and for them we are sincerely thankful. Sponsors include: Glenmede, Hill ‘n Dale Club,CommonGood Consulting, KeyBank, Old Trail School and The Squire Family.
