SUMMARY:Nature Includes You Printmaking Workshop (2 days)
DESCRIPTION:Join Zygote Press and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park for a 2-day Nature Includes You monoprinting workshop! Participants will use premixed inks from a color palette designed by Zygote specially for this workshop. This workshop is for adults 18+ years. \n  \nDay One (September 27\, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm): \nParticipants will begin with a question about their relationship to nature and will be asked to discuss it in the context of artistic expression. After they have had the opportunity to ideate their concept\, they will receive a brief overview of the monoprint process with examples of different techniques such as stenciling\, additive layering\, reductive layering and textural layering. \nDuring the remainder of the workshop\, participants will create their own unique 8” x 10” prints\, experimenting with different kinds of materials. At the end of the first day\, they will be given an explanation of the collaborative print process they will be participating in on the following day. \n  \nDay Two (September 28\, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm): \nUsing elements from the monoprints they created on the first day\, participants will work together to make 4-6 collaborative 22” x 30” monoprints. These large-scale monoprints will become part of the Conservancy for CVNP’s archive\, to be potentially used as a public art installation in their anticipated new space. \n  \n\n\n\n\nLocation: \nZygote Press | 1410 East 30th Street Cleveland\, OH 44114 \n  \nParking: \nThere is free parking available in the lot adjacent to the studio. \n\n\n  \nRegister
