SUMMARY:Opening Reception at The Gallery | Nature Includes You
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of Nature Includes You\, a traveling photo exhibition and program series that explores the rich relationships that people of color have with nature in Northeast Ohio\, past and present.   \nAs humans\, we are all connected to nature—both universally and personally. It holds different meanings and memories for each of us. But what is nature\, and how do we define it? As society becomes more urban\, many people feel increasingly disconnected from the natural world. \nOne way to reconnect is by shifting perspective: recognizing nature wherever we are. It exists not only in parks and rural landscapes\, but also in potted plants\, neighborhood birds\, and everyday surroundings. Nature lives in our experiences as well as in our imaginations. \nAt the same time\, people of color have historically faced barriers to accessing outdoor spaces\, along with limited representation in nature imagery. This photo exhibition and program series seeks to expand that narrative—challenging assumptions about who belongs in Northeast Ohio’s green spaces. Because we all do. \n  \nOPENING RECEPTION \nDate: Saturday\, June 27\, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm\nLocation: The Boston Gallery | 1565 Boston Mills Rd.\, Peninsula\, OH \nPlease check back for the opening reception registration link. For now\, learn more about Nature Includes You. \nLearn More\n  \nThis exhibition is part of a collaborative partnership between the Conservancy for CVNP and the Museum of Creative Human Art and runs June 27- August 16 (Saturdays & Sundays\, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm). \n  \nGALLERY PARKING & DIRECTIONS \nParking is available at the Boston Trailhead (1508 Boston Mills Road\, Peninsula\, Ohio 44264).
