Every year Music on the Porches event concludes with a concert at the G.A.R. Hall that features a artists who embody the celebration of Music and Art in the Cuyahoga Valley and the community. This year both Sean Watkins and Tim O’Brien on the same night, same bill.

Old Timey Gathering | SAT Sept 23

Public workshops on a variety of topics including vocal harmonizing, fine craft of making a string instruments, and much more. Workshops will be held at the G.A.R. Hall or Bronson Church in Peninsula, OH. Teaching artists include: Sean Watkins, Erynn Marshall, Carl Jones and Time O'Brien. Free admission.

Skipper's Alley | OCT 4

Skipper’s Alley is a seven-piece ensemble whose dynamic take on traditional Irish music has garnered worldwide critical praise. Presented at Happy Days Lodge.

Harmonia | OCT 24

Performing on authentic folk instruments, and styled after turn of the century East-European Gypsy bands, Harmonia’s music is drawn from both the urban and rural traditions of Eastern-Europe. The ensemble's performances evoke the full range of human emotions; interspersing fiery, passionate virtuosity with soulful melancholy and nostalgic yearning.

John Gorka | NOV 5

Rolling Stone magazine called John Gorka “the preeminent male singer-songwriter of what has been dubbed the New Folk Movement.” Gorka is a nationally recognized folk competition winner and a uniquely gifted storyteller, using his music to draw you in.

Mo' Mojo | NOV 18

Mo’ Mojo is a hard driving, high energy, “Pardi-Gras” band. The female fronted group features three-part harmonies, accordion, fiddle, guitar, rubboard, sax, trumpet, harp, bass, percussion, and drums. Mo' Mojo breathes new life into Zydeco music, infusing it with Americana, Cajun, reggae, rock & roll, funk, R&B, and African and Latin rhythms.

OPTIONAL: Before the show, you can choose to enjoy a meal of classic Cajun dishes crafted with a special twist by Chef Larkin Rogers. Dinner at 6 p.m.
