The historic home of the Jaites and the Gioias, now used for events.
At a Glance:
80 acres of rolling lawns and historic buildings, perfect for your next event.
Hines Hill Campus construction predates the 20th century. It all was originally owned by the Jaite family; a resurrection and fortification of the compound took place in the 1970s on the watch of Bobby Gioia, a demolition contractor who amassed a number of estate assets and artifacts from across Greater Cleveland (Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and Case Western Reserve Infirmary among them) and incorporated them into the spread. Hines Hill Conference Center itself is a bank barn that sports beautiful stained glass windows, restored wood, stone patios and fireplace, and bucolic beauty in the surrounding grounds. Many a Northeast Ohio wedding (and vow recommitment) has graced its halls. The adjacent Stone Cottage and barn can accommodate even more guests for larger events.
What Makes It Great
Hines Hill is one of the CVNP’s most charming and pastoral settings, and it enjoys plenty of traffic throughout the year for weddings, conferences, reunions and all manner of other public and private events. The Hines Hill Campus (and nearby Stone Cottage) hold special events and are available for planning your own. Both are set upon 60 gorgeous acres that can be taken in hikes or walks. Bonus: the campus pairs modern convenience with historical quaintness—all of it moments away from the Boston Store, Brandywine Falls and plenty of other easy-to-moderate trails.
Who is Going to Love It
Everyone. It’s the kind of place that is trapped in time, with a versatility that turns memorable events into lifetime memories. That’s not greeting card lip-service; there’s nothing run-of-the-mill about Hines Hill’s compound, and that in and of itself makes anything attended there an outstanding experience. And with so many amazing trails, resources and views surrounding it, this earns every bit of a “Recommended for Ages 5-105” rating.
