00:00:06:05 - 00:00:23:05 Unknown Hello, I'm Debbie Yandala, CEO of the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I am so thrilled that I have with me today Lisa Petit, who is the new superintendent of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It's just wonderful to have you here with us today, Lisa, and to talk a little bit about your new role and about the park. 00:00:23:13 - 00:00:40:13 Unknown I'm sure that our supporters have read the press release and know a little bit about your background, the fact you've been working in this park for quite some time and you're a gifted wildlife biologist. Today, I'd like to really focus on the park and you and my first question is why did you want to be superintendent of 00:00:40:13 - 00:01:00:12 Unknown Cuyahoga Valley National Park? You're an outstanding resource manager. Why move into this role? Thanks, Deb, and thanks for having me. It's really nice to talk with you today. And the reason why I moved into this role or wanted to is really because I think I am a product of this park. 00:01:00:12 - 00:01:17:07 Unknown I grew up in this park and in a sense, in my career, I spent more time here than I did in previous eras of my career. And I am really invested in this place, you know, as kind of a part of me now. 00:01:17:20 - 00:01:31:07 Unknown I've been a part of how it has evolved over time and worked with the staff. Many of these staff have been here, you know, more than six years, up to ten years, at least, some of them longer than I've been here. 00:01:31:17 - 00:01:50:23 Unknown And I feel like we're on this journey together, and I just really wanted the opportunity to be able to build upon the successes of the past superintendents and try my hand at continuing to move this path forward with the staff and in this place. 00:01:51:05 - 00:01:52:13 Unknown It's great. That's great, Lisa.
