00:00:05:08 - 00:00:22:07 Unknown I'd like to just add a question around, you know, we talk about communities and organizations and groups. How about individuals? I think about our volunteer program. And I think about all of the Conservancy members and supporters, the donors that have made so many things happen. 00:00:22:16 - 00:00:37:14 Unknown What kind of message do you have for our volunteers and our supporters? Just thank you. Thank you. Thank you. For our volunteers, we've missed you during COVID and we really, really are anxious to have everyone back. 00:00:37:20 - 00:01:05:11 Unknown The volunteers make us run, the members and the support that the members of the Conservancy bring to us and the other partners that you bring to us, your time, your talent, your treasure. All of those things make us that truly strong and unique national park in the country that other national parks are quite envious of us 00:01:05:18 - 00:01:33:21 Unknown and really kind of astounded at the numbers of people who give so much of their time and their effort and their passion and their support to this place. And you know, that's what hooks you, you know, as a park service employee and as as the superintendent, that's what keeps me going is just such 00:01:33:21 - 00:01:50:23 Unknown a level of gratitude to, and respect for, very, very skilled people who decided in the next iteration of their lives, you know, after they retire many times that they're going to devote maybe more hours to us, right? 00:01:50:23 - 00:02:09:02 Unknown And it's really, really appreciated. So but I have to give a shout out as well to you and your staff because this is a great example of how much better we can do and how much more we can do when we're together. 00:02:09:02 - 00:02:41:18 Unknown So the volunteer center and the volunteer office that is the joint office between Conservancy and National Park Service, is astounding, winning national awards within, you know, the Department of Interior because it is leveraging both of us right, and really tapping into the support of our community members and our, you know, donors and sponsors and supporters 00:02:42:12 - 00:03:02:23 Unknown in such a meaningful way. So I really do feel like the volunteers get a lot out of it. I think that the volunteer management office staff are just the highest level of professional. They bring an experience and an acknowledgment and a recognition of our volunteers that you don't see very many places at all, whether in the park service 00:03:02:23 - 00:03:23:07 Unknown or outside, right? I've been a volunteer at other places and just the way that we embrace our volunteers and our members, I believe largely through your leadership and the leadership of the Conservancy is second to none. Well, thank you. 00:03:23:07 - 00:03:37:18 Unknown I like to believe deep in my heart that we are a park community and we often say among our staff, we don't work for the National Park Service, but we work for the National Park Service. And I think all of the volunteers feel the same way. 00:03:37:18 - 00:03:51:19 Unknown They're so proud to put the uniforms on and give of their time. In the same way, like you, I really care deeply about our volunteers and I'm proud to be part of that park community. It's really, I think together we've been able to do great things here in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. 00:03:51:19 - 00:04:09:23 Unknown Yeah, for sure. For sure. And it's it's quite a badge of honor, I think. Lisa I want to thank you on behalf of the members and supporters of the Conservancy for being with us today. It really is wonderful that you shared your time with us and I want to tell our supporters that we have a wonderful 00:04:09:23 - 00:04:25:20 Unknown new superintendent. This is really—as Lisa started in her comments—this is an exciting time with lots of opportunities ahead of us, and together we're going on a great journey, the park service under Lisa's leadership and the Conservancy. Thanks to all of you for supporting us. 00:04:26:09 - 00:04:39:02 Unknown I look forward to good things ahead and I wanted our community to know how much I appreciate your partnership and your support of the Conservancy. So thank you very much. Thank you, Deb. It's been a pleasure. It's been a really fun conversation. 00:04:39:02 - 00:04:54:12 Unknown And I will say, you know, one other thing that helps me look forward to the next few years and more is partnership with you, Deb. You and I have been—you've been here longer than I have been here. 00:04:54:14 - 00:05:09:20 Unknown And so it gives me great confidence. And actually, I'm excited to kind of move forward together in this relationship now. And I just really appreciate your leadership and the support of the Conservancy, and it's going to be fun. 00:05:09:21 - 00:05:15:00 Unknown It will be. We look forward to it. Let's go is right. Great. Thank you so much.
