Exploration celebrates nature, wonder, and the experiences that stay with us long after the day is over.

This annual fundraiser supports the mission of the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC) – to connect young people with nature through immersive outdoor education.

Guests are invited to explore the campus, connect with student experiences, and enjoy farm-fresh hors d’oeuvres before gathering at shared tables for a meal inspired by heritage recipes and seasonal ingredients.

Funds raised through Exploration support environmental education programs that inspire curiosity, foster a sense of belonging in nature, and help students envision themselves as future scientists, educators, researchers, and conservationists.

Partnership Rooted in Place

For this year’s Exploration fundraising event, we are proud to announce a new partnership with 3X James Beard nominee Chef Vinnie Cimino of restaurants Cordelia and ROSY, known for his Midwest-inspired hospitality and seasonal cuisine. The partnership brings together two Northeast Ohio champions committed to creating meaningful experiences rooted in place, community, and storytelling.

Guests will begin the evening with a curated welcome cocktail and a roaming culinary experience featuring seasonal small bites crafted from locally sourced ingredients while exploring the campus and engaging in camper experiences like pond dipping and forest floor exploration. The celebration continues around shared tables celebrating agricultural heritage of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, showcasing ingredients sourced from local farms and producers.
