Cuyahoga Valley Institute: Writing About Nature, with Lee Chilcote

Literary Cleveland’s Lee Chilcote will be your inspiring guide as you explore poetry and personal essays with a focus on nature and environment. Analyze selections from writers who make a connection between their lives and the environment, enjoy a writing exercise, and get helpful feedback and tips on your writing. Open to writers of all levels and abilities.

This program is co-sponsored by Literary Cleveland. It is scheduled over three Tuesday evenings, on August 13, 20, and 27, from 6 – 8 pm.

Literary Cleveland’s mission is to create and nurture a vibrant literary arts community in Northeast Ohio.

Literary Cleveland is a nonprofit organization that continues to expand the range of writing workshops, networking events, and author readings it offers annually. ​In 2017, Lit Cleveland introduced a neighborhood-based writing program; a staged reading series with Cleveland Humanities Festival; and Gordon Square Review. Additionally, Cleveland Inkubator, organized by Literary Cleveland, has expanded to become Northeast Ohio’s largest free annual festival for writers and readers.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Ages 18+ preferred for this event.

What can I bring into the event?

Attendees may bring drinks in sealed travel containers to this program. We ask that attendees avoid bringing food if possible.

What’s the refund policy?

Attendees may receive refunds up to seven (7) days before this event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

We accept tickets in the following forms: printed, digital, or confirmation emails. Please make sure to have one of the prior mentioned for ease of entrance.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Ticket purchases are non-transferrable.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?

This is acceptable as long as the individual attending has a printed ticket, digital ticket, or confirmation email for proof of purchase.

Will my contact info be shared between organizations?

Your name and email address will be shared with Literary Cleveland, to promote their upcoming events and seminars. Your contact info will not be shared with anyone else.
