Weekend for Junior Girl Scouts
April 13 @ 5:30 pm - April 15 @ 1:00 pm
Join us for Junior Girl Scouts fun in Ohio’s National Park! Spend the weekend at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center to complete requirements for the First Aid and Geocacher badges. All programming, meals, and lodging are provided so troop leaders can relax and enjoy the activities with their scouts. Programming will focus on requirements for badges and experiences that emphasize activities taking place in the natural world.
Kevin is a program coordinator at the Education Center where he focuses on developing summer, scout and special weekend programs. He spends all year brainstorming fun adventures, games, and other ideas to make your child’s experience in Cuyahoga Valley National Park unforgettable, fun and enriching. Kevin joined our staff in March of 2016 and has worked in camp leadership and program development at the Madden Outdoor Education Center and Tall Pines Day Camp. He lives in the national park, and he loves to travel, explore new trails, and sit around the campfire with friends.
All scout programs take place at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center in northeast Ohio. The Education Center is located at 3765 Oak Hill Road, Peninsula, OH, 44264, within the boundaries of Cuyahoga Valley National Park – about a 30-minute drive from Cleveland and a 25-minute drive from Akron.
Scouts and chaperones stay in one of the two campuses at the Education Center. Both campuses offer dormitory-style living. Multiple rooms accommodate up to 64 – two to eight bunk beds per room and shower facilities.
